We are seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to become a key member of our litigation team. You will manage a diverse caseload, primarily focused on property disputes, and work alongside some of the most skilled professionals in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and progress a wide-ranging caseload of litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on property-related disputes such as boundary issues, easements, rights of way, restrictive covenants, landlord and tenant matters, and possession claims.
  • Advise and represent both commercial and residential clients, including individuals, landlords, tenants, and property developers, on contentious property issues.
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence with precision and clarity, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and case law affecting property litigation.
  • Prepare cases for court hearings, mediation, and other forms of dispute resolution; attend court as required to represent clients or instruct counsel.
  • Liaise with clients throughout the lifecycle of a case, providing strategic advice and regular updates, while managing client expectations effectively.
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments, including conveyancing and commercial property teams, to provide a seamless and integrated service to clients.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure deadlines, billing targets, and compliance requirements are met consistently.
  • Take an active role in business development by building client relationships and contributing to the firm’s profile in the local and wider legal community.
  • Support the team with business development activities, including attending networking events and fostering referral relationships.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and case law.

About You:
This position is ideal for an experienced Litigation Solicitor seeking a new challenge and the opportunity to join an award-winning team. You will have a passion for client service, a proactive approach to business development, and the drive to contribute to the continued success of our litigation department.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 year post qualification experience in litigation.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of civil procedure and property-related legal principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and approachable manner.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Proficient in using case management systems and IT software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements:

  • All successful applicants will be subject to a DBS Check. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.

We’re creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity. Organisations that are diverse in age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, and perspective are proven to be better places to work and are more successful. Importantly, we are creating an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work. In short we see this as the right thing to do for the best of reasons.
