🔐 Cybersecurity in Focus: Cornwall Law Society x Acronyms
Last Thursday morning, Cornwall Law Society was delighted to partner with Acronyms for an engaging cybersecurity workshop at the beautiful The Alverton Hotel in Truro, delivered in collaboration with the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU).
With law firms entrusted with highly sensitive client information, understanding cyber risks and knowing how to protect against them has never been more important.
The morning combined expert insights, practical advice and interactive learning, covering three key areas:
🔒 Cybersecurity Essentials – Exploring the importance of strong security foundations, a layered approach to protection and the role everyone plays in keeping information safe.🤖 AI and Risk Management – Discussing the growing use of AI in the workplace, the potential risks of unregulated tools and the importance of putting appropriate safeguards in place.
🕵️ Interactive Cybercrime Challenge – Attendees put their investigative and problem-solving skills to the test in an interactive escape-room-style exercise led by the ROCU team.
It was fantastic to see such great engagement from attendees, with valuable discussions around the challenges facing legal professionals and the steps firms can take to strengthen their cybersecurity.
